Getting beat by the Pirates is definitely not a good thing..but getting beat by them 12-5 is even worse. :(
Rasner started out the season pitching very well...now I am a little worried about him. But Joba is starting tonight so hopefully they can turn it around and at least win the series. And YAY for another subway series this weekend! I am so happy there is FINALLY going to be a Yankees game on tv. It has been waaaayy to long. I am also very excited to see my mega-crush David Wright play. Ahh. :) Oh..and for some lame reason, this is the best pic I could find of my beautiful David. I may need to pay them to do some closeups...haha ;)
More on the Mets...this season has been weird and full of surprises. The Mets have definitely been surprising me. They haven't been winning which is crazy! I thought they would be unstoppable, especially after they signed Santana. Then they fired Willie Randolph (c'mon I love him, he's a Yankees guy) and that was pretty sad to me. I think their struggles have nothing to do with him. But what do I know. And what's up with Felix Hernandez hitting a Grand-slam off Santana? (starting pitcher for the Mariners) You don't see that everyday! Really though, this is all great news to me. Hopefully this will all set up for a Yankees sweep this weekend and bring my dad to tears. (the Mets are his team--hahaha)
Back to the surprises this year.....These teams should not be winning or doing as good as they are right now: Athletics, Cardinals, Rays, and the Marlins. Funny cuz they are all my moms teams. LAME! And these teams should definitely be doing better: Mariners, Mets, and TIGERS. See how messed up this all is?!
One more thing. Congratulations to A-Rod for winning the 2007 Babe Ruth Homerun award!! Here he is pictured with Babe Ruths daughter Julia!! Look how A---mazing he looks! wow. :) :)
