YAY to the Yankees for winning the series against Boston!!! Of course I would have loved a sweep, but my dad still owes me a Coke anyway. :)

I was pretty sad that game 1 wasn't on tv because it was such a great match up. JOBA vs Beckett. Very happy to say that Joba kicked some Beckett trash! Ha well actually Giambi and his "stache" technically did by him bringing in the only run of the game. I'm telling you, that stache is seriously working. And it is really ugly.

Game 2 was a little more intense. It started out by the Sox scoring two runs in the first off Pettitte. I didn't like that at all, but I had a feeling they would come back and win. I swear I always have a good or bad feeling before the game and I usually end up being right about the outcome. So weird. Needless to say, I enjoyed this game very much thanks to their 10-3 win!!!

Other stuff. Can I just tell you how happy it makes me when the rival clubhouse has issues with one of their best players? Manny is such a freak and he really fits in with the rest of the punk Red Sox. I hope his big mouth ruins the Sox's chances this year. For those of you who don't know, he is being a baby and wants to be traded and then he doesn't, then he says he's hurt when he's really not...and all that jazz. haha.

HUGE TRADE NEWS!!!!! I was very PLEASED to find out that the Yankees aquired XAVIER NADY and DAMASO MARTE from the Pirates. The Yanks got these guys in exchange for right-handed pitchers Jeff Karstens, Dan McCutchen and Ross Ohlendorf, and outfielder Jose Tabata. I am really happy because this was a steal!!! Nady is already having a great year and Marte will provide them with that extra pop in the bullpen!! I am very excited. As for Richie Sexson...where has he been??? hmm....he better not get on my bad side.

Xavier Nady on his first day as a Yankee. Wouldn't that be so awesome to be called and traded to the Yankees, knowing you were about to start a series against the Red Sox? Especially after coming from the Pirates. Sure, lots of pressure, but very exciting!!

All-Star Game and more...

Yay for this years All-Star game!! I had mixed emotions about it..I was very excited it was at Yankee Stadium, but also sooo sad it was the last one there ever!! :( I thought it was a really good game. I seriously watched the whole thing!! The ending was great. I can't believe how the AL has won 12 years on a row now. That is amazing!! I just hope this doesn't end up benefiting the Red Sox like it did last year...

I don't know about you...but I thought George Steinbrenner looked DEAD!


Now for the Yankees 6 game WIN STREAK!! HECK YEAH!! They haven't lost since the break and it is awesome!!! They also have a ten game HOME game win streak!! It's funny because their offense and bullpen have really stepped it up which have been the low points so far this year. They are suddenly right back in the AL East race and I am sooo excited for the Sox series this weekend!! They better stay on this roll and keep it up!!



Mike Mussina AKA MOOSE has been AWESOME this year!! I have to be honest, I really didn't expect it!! After todays game (which was a solid start by the way) he has 13 wins already!! I'm really rooting for this guy to get 20 wins. Even with his awesome career he hasn't reached that many yet in a season. I think he's gonna make it! :) :)


Posada and his shoulder. I am so sad that he is having shoulder problems...It sucks when he can't be the catcher because he is amazing! Right now he is deciding in whether to have season ending surgery and fix his shoulder, or not play catcher and play first and wait till the end of the season for the surgery. I really want him to stay cuz they could really use him in the lineup, but I don't want him to hurt anything worse. I'm hoping for the best...


Joe Mauer is hott.


The signing of Richie Sexson. hmmm...When I first heard about this, I was FURIOUS!! I could see no use for him at all. Yeah, he's good at hitting off left handers, but still this guy SUCKS! He did surprise me though and drive in an RBI his first at-bat as a Yankee. Since then he's been okay...huh. We'll see. I hope he knows though that he won't last long in NY if he is gonna suck like he did in Seattle...


And of course A-Rod is still hitting home runs every other day. Really...it's every other day. Love it :)

I know I need to write about the all star game and such...and I WILL...but I need to post pictures of one of the big reasons I love baseball. I told a good guy friend of mine that loves baseball that I bet he wishes he was a girl so baseball was twice as good. Because of all the HOTT players!! ahahah :) Grady Sizemore has ALWAYS been one of my favorites, but after watching him in the All star game and HR derby. hes been on my mind a little more lately. Enjoy!

That game got SOOOOO intense!!!! Mussina threw so well and I can't believe the Sox almost came back like that in the 9th. Well, actually I can. They seem to do that a lot. Grr. BUT those last 3 outs I was freaking out! I'm so proud of Rivera that he got out of that jam. He should have anyway cuz he was the one that made it!! But all in all, a GOOD win. That would have been one of the worst games to lose all season. Congratulations to Mussina on his 11th win as well. YAY!!!! It was nice to finally watch a classic Sox/Yankees game. I have really missed it!! Yay for another one tomorrow!!! :) :)

Let's just say....I am not happy with the way this Red Sox-Yankees series has started. I look forward to these sooo much....but It hasn't even been all that exciting. Not even a closed door team meeting Girardi put on could do the trick. Hopefully with me being able to watch the game tomorrow and Sunday, they can even it up!! I'm craving some good baseball!!!
