Yay for the Phillies.

Yeah I'm excited they won but only because I didn't want the Rays to win it. And Boston. No longer World Champs hahahaha....anyway I guess it was an OKAY World Series, and I hate this, but I had to miss a lot of it because our Mstar TV service always likes to stop working. Its ok though because I feel I spent all my energy on the ALCS. I am glad this year is over though. Onto a new season. I am way sad that baseball is over though. It is always a little bit of a letdown when the WS is over. Luckily though they are doing the World Baseball Classic next year so we will get baseball a month early. Enjoy the pics. I wish it were the Yankees.

You have no idea how happy I am.

Am I happy about the Tampa Bay Rays winning the AL pennant? No. I'm really not. What I am happy about, is that the Red Sox didn't win it. I really hate the Red Sox. I just really do. They really bother me, especially when I see them win. It drives me absolutely insane and it is probably because I am a really competitive person. I was so upset when they won the World Series last year. It's like...if it can't be the Yankees, then let it be any team but them!!! So lets just say that when Tampa Bay won game 7 of the ALCS on Sunday and eliminated the Red Sox, I was beyond happy. I was so happy I was laughing hysterically. Especially when they showed Josh Beckett's reaction to the last out. I wish I could find a picture of that. Another reason I am happy about it, is because I know that if the Red Sox made it to the WS, they would win it. They just would and and I would be really mad. Now they don't even get that chance. Ahhhh!!!!!! :) :) :)

That was a great series though. Gotta love baseball!!!! :)

Now for the Rays. Yes, I think it is a cool story. Worst to first blah blah. But now, how can I cheer for a team that was one of the reasons the Yanks missed the playoffs? A team that is going to give my team some serious division competition next year? I rooted for them in the ALCS simply because they were the lesser of two evils. So yeah....even though I am all for the American League, I just don't think I can root for them to win it all. And I will be honest, it is hard not to like those guys. They are a bunch of guys MY AGE that have overcome A LOT of odds and are actually a great baseball team. (obviously).

BUT.....

you won't see me jumping on that bandwagon.

GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures from the Demolition

Today ESPN has been describing last night's game between the Red Sox and Rays as a "demolition". I think it is a great word. How else can you describe a blowout 13-4 win??!? At FENWAY???? hahahaha. You have no idea how HAPPY it makes me to know that the Red Sox are ONE loss away from missing the World Series. yes. yes. YES!!!! :) :) I hope the Rays wrap this one up quick. I think I just might go crazy if Boston comes back again. ahh. Anyway...here are some pics. :)

Where are all the fans? oh yeah...they left.

Love it.
Love it.
LOVE IT.

Haha sorry can you tell I feel really bad for the Sox??

OOPS hahaha

9-1 is a huge win at Fenway!! I am so excited. I hope the Rays can keep this momentum up. Im so excited for the game that comes on in a few minutes. If they can go up 3-1 ill be so freaking happy! The Red Sox cannot get to the World Series. Ahh they absolutely cannot.

One more thing....I'm loving seeing Harold Reynolds back in action on TBS. I've missed him. I'm happy he has this opportunity!!

ALCS

I'm loving this series already. I am so happy that the Rays tied up the series on Saturday. If they had not of, this wouldn't be looking pretty! Even though the game was about 5 1/2 hours long, it was one of the most intense games I've seen for awhile!! :)

Yep Coco, it's gone :)

Feeling better...

Some stuff I skipped over after being upset about the Yanks....

1. This is big. MIKE MUSSINA GETS 20 WINS!!!!!!
As soon as the Yanks were eliminated, this is the one thing I was hoping to happen. Mike Mussina has been pitching in the Major Leagues for 18 years. He has had an awesome career and has always been a top of the line pitcher. BUT, he has never reached 20 wins. He has got to 19 like 5 different times and one year was one out away I believe but some guy blew it for him. (when he was on the Orioles..and sorry I don't remember names, I'm going from memory) The last couple years with the Yankees however, I have noticed a decline in his performance. It seems like hes been averaging 12-14 wins a season and last year gosh I think he only had 12 or so. So this year when he came out strong and fighting I was so excited!! The last week of September he had 19 wins and one start to go against the Red Sox. The Yanks had been eliminated at that point but I was praying he would get the win! It ended up being a great game and YAY he got the win!! I am super excited for him. He has always been one of my favorites in the Yankees rotation. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! Seriously, 20 wins is a big accomplishment for a pitcher. It was well deserved for him. Yay! :)

2. Brian Cashman's 3 year contract extension. (Yankees General Manager)
I like Brian Cashman. I know he has a great vision for the Yankees and he has worked really hard to develop their farm system and not spend as much on "players of the moment". Think Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield, Carl Pavano (bah..) and so on. Some have worked but some obviously haven't. haha. I was worried he was going to go somewhere else and am happy he is staying put for a least a little while. :)

3. Mariano's shoulder surgery.
This supposedly happened this morning. They say it is only minor so that is good. He should be ready to throw in about 3 months. I'm still nervous though. You never know how someone will recover and I hope it doesnt mess up his whole everything.

4. Yankees not in the postseason.
Well...it has not been as awful as I thought it would be. Well ok it's pretty bad but I get to sit and just enjoy the playoffs and not stress out so much. I have been the biggest Angels fan this week. Even though I hate the Angels so much. But I PASSIONATLY HATE the Red Sox and I am SOSOSOSOSOSOSOOSOSOSOSOSOSOS MAD THEY WON THAT SERIES AHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! I AM GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST TAMPA BAY FAN NOW EVEN THOUGH I HATE THEM TOO!!!!!!! And once the World Series starts I will be all for the NATIONAL LEAGUE which will hopefully end up being the Dodgers!!!

5. World Baseball Classic 2009.
Wow can't believe its been 4 years. I love the WBC. Heck, it's baseball one month early WAHOO!!!!!!!!

6. The Mets
Can you believe it? The Mets missed out on the playoffs on the LAST DAY OF THE SEASON for the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW!!!! Last year's collapse was really bad since they led the division by double digits in September. This year was just as bad because yes, they gave up their lead...but they did it AGAIN. 2 years in a row. They obviously didn't recover from last year and now they are probably scarred for life. I'm sure Willie Randolph is happy he got out that that mess when he did. So crazy. hahahahahahahahah

7. Cubs vs Dodgers NLDS
I thought the Cubs would EASILY beat the Dodgers. The Dodgers season record was pretty embarrasing for a playoff tream. (lame divison) That last game of the NLDS series was crazy. I was so into it. I really feel bad for the Cubs and their fans. That has really really got to suck. I am sad for Lou. I thought they would be in the World Series, no question. At the same time, I am more than excited for my Joe Torre!!!!!!! I love him. If I could have one more grandpa I would want it to be him. I'm happy he is showing the Steinbrenners what they missed out on and I hope they feel bad for the way they treated him. I am rooting for Joe to go all the way and show Tampa or Boston (hopefully Tampa) whats up!!!!!

Thats it for now, more to come. Love you and love baseball :) If you don't love baseball you should okay
